Bread from Heaven
“Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her by the Lord.”— Luke 1:45 (RSV-2CE)
Today’s Portion
For Anna, the questions hadn’t been answered.
The situation hadn’t resolved.
There was no breakthrough. No revelation.
And yet… she felt a change.
It wasn’t the kind you could measure on paper —
but something in her had shifted.
Not her circumstance.
Her heart.
The movement she longed for had happened — not in the world around her, but in the soul within her.
She still didn’t understand everything.
But she no longer needed to.
She still hoped for clarity.
But she had already received something greater:
a deeper trust in God’s plan —
not just for her,
but for the story He’s writing across the whole universe.
This wasn’t the answer she expected.
But it was an answer.
And it was enough. The answer was always there. In the stillness, Anna realized no fear – God takes care of everything.
Where This Touches You
-
What if the movement you’ve been waiting for is happening within you?
-
Could surrender be the real miracle?
Manna to Carry with You
Stillness isn’t the absence of longing.
It’s the presence of trust.
God may not always answer in the way we hope —
but He always answers in the way we need.
When we surrender the outcome, we receive a different kind of gift:
the gift of His nearness.
The quiet certainty that He is already caring for the things we’ve let go.
The peace that settles in when striving stops.
This is the treasure of the waiting place:
Not closure
But unending Presence.
🍞 Bread for the Journey
God of mercy,
Even when I don’t understand, let me trust that You do.
Even when I can’t see the plan, let me rest in the Planner.
Thank You for staying with me in the not-yet.
Let this stillness be my song —
and let Your nearness be enough.
