Letting Go

“At dusk in the forest, a girl stands between two trees, releasing a white dove into the sky. A quiet moment of surrender — soft, sacred, and full of release. Two flanking images of a forest at dusk with a winding path.

Bread from Heaven

“Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7 (RSV-2CE)

Today’s Portion

It wasn’t dramatic.
There were no tears, no music swelling in the background.
Just a quiet moment — a journal, a pen, and something heavy on her heart.

Anna didn’t know how to explain it.
She only knew she couldn’t carry it anymore.

She didn’t even write it as a prayer.
It was more like a sentence — simple, honest, unfinished.

She folded the paper in half.
Then again.
And again.

And placed it in the middle of her Bible.
Not to forget it.
But to let it rest where grace could hold it.

It wasn’t closure.
But it was surrender.

Where This Touches You

  • Is there something you’ve been carrying too long, too tightly?

  • What would it look like to offer it — not fix it?

Manna to Carry with You

Surrender isn’t about having no more feelings.
It’s about placing those feelings in God’s hands instead of your own.

Letting go doesn’t mean you’re giving up.
It means you’re trusting the One who knows the way forward — even when you don’t.

When you stop trying to carry the weight,
you create space for God to carry you — and everything attached to what you’ve released.

That’s when peace comes.
Not because the problem is solved,
but because your soul finally believes it doesn’t have to solve it alone.

And that… is the beginning of wholeness.

🍞 Bread for the Journey

Jesus, I hand You the thing I’ve been holding too tightly.
Not because I’ve stopped caring — but because I finally believe You do.
Take what I can’t fix.
Hold what I can’t carry.
And teach me how to walk lighter with You.
